Guenther Willacker
(Dipl.-Ing.)

IT- and Communication-Expert for Airline- and Airport- Organisations.
Developed high integrated systems in a leading position.
He is active in the airport and airline business since 25 years. As a project leader he led the development of some systems like FIDS, central database, resource allocation and various EDP-technologies. Main strengths are the organisation, the analysis and the development of IT-systems.

He is familiar with modern project management and design methods. He played an important role during the design and development of Munich International Airport. Their concept of system integration originated from his ideas.
His main skills are:
Planning of integration processes
Software design and definition
Co-ordination of information presentation
Definition of interfaces and standards
Database design and implementation
Integration, test and training

One of the biggest projects was IT-planning and co-ordination for the new Terminal 2 in Munich in co-operation with Lufthansa. He was co-ordinator of all IT- and communication-activities (systems and infrastructure) as the responsible core process organiser. Another focus was the new FIDS-system which makes use of some new technologies. He developed the concept including prototyping and monitored the realisation.
The third strength (besides airline/airport and IT-Know-how) is the consideration of the human factor. During system development he can motivate and lead the team members (even in an international environment). He attaches great significance to software ergonomics, training and familiarisation of users.
